Teaching children programming

I recently watched videos and read about how games and computers are new media for thinking and enabling us to think in new directions other than on pen and paper. One of the latest video I watched was this one about "what most schools don't teach" See it below:



After watching that film, I think homeschooling parents should teach their children how to program. So I looked up for resources to do so and discovered a children programming language, SCRATCH, that is also mentioned in the video. See the link to the software program here: http://scratch.mit.edu/
